VELUX blackout blinds can improve the energy balance of your house. The back is covered with an aluminium coating that protects from the sun in summer and retains heat in the winter.

Combine with other VELUX blinds or shutters
The VELUX blackout blind can also be combined with VELUX awning blinds and roller shutters for additional heat protection. Combine with VELUX insect screens for an insect-free environment – even when your window is open.

VELUX blackout blinds are tested to give you the best blackout on the market. They offer a light-tight seal for darkness no matter the colour of the blind. Available in numerous colours and designs, complementing the room's interior.

There are two frame material options for VELUX blackout blind. The white-painted option is ideal for white-painted and PVC roof windows, as the frame of the blind fits seamlessly with the inside colour of the roof window. The classic brushed aluminum option is suitable for all roof windows.

Easy installation

All manually operated interior VELUX blinds are very simple to install with no measuring or cutting required. This means that the majority of VELUX roof windows are fitted with pre-installed brackets to ease installation and help you achieve a perfect fit every time. Simply choose a blind and snap into place and you will have both hands free for the remaining part of the installation. 

In case your roof window for some reason don't have pre-installed brackets, we always make sure to include these as well when you order a blind. Don't worry, these are easy to install too. The brackets are also available to purchase as a spare part. If you wish to order these, please contact our customer services.
