Long-lasting VELUX quality
Quality is a major priority at VELUX. Each product is tested to ensure colour fastness, tear resistance, and optimal functionality, so you can create the ideal light conditions for your home for many years to come. The VELUX blackout blind is made of a three-layered Oeko-Tex® fabric, polyester layer and a light-proof middle layer.
Available in 24 different colours and designs
VELUX blackout blinds are tested to give you the best blackout on the market. They offer a light-tight seal for darkness no matter the colour of the blind. You should therefore feel free to choose the design that will complement your room's interiour the best.
VELUX blackout blinds with manual operation with control bar as well as electric and solar operation run in side channels made of natural anodised aluminium that prevent light from passing in around the edges.
Installation of electrically operated blinds
Most VELUX roof windows are fitted with pre-installed brackets to ease installation and help you achieve a perfect fit every time. To install an electrically operated blind, simply snap it into place. Then connect the blind to the power supply and lastly your remote control.
When installing an electrically operated blind in a manually operated roof window, a conversion kit (KUX 100) is required as well. Read more or order one here.
Installation instructions similar to those below will of course be included when you purchase a blind. All other installation instruction PDFs and videos can be found on the installation page here.
